Adult Faith Formation Programs

  • Baptismal Preparation: sessions are offered on an as-needed basis.  All first-time parents are required to complete a session prior to the baptism of their child. Call the Parish Office at 724-863-2626 to register for a session.
  • Marriage Preparation:  Marriage preparation in the parish is offered in the form of either  the “Sponsor Couple” program (a one-on-one program meeting with a Sponsor Couple) or Engaged Encounter Weekends (available several times a year and at a cost to the couple).    Also needed are married couples willing to be trained as “Sponsor Couples” to work with engaged couples.  Please call the Faith Formation Office at 724-864-5393 for more information on any of these programs.
  • RCIA – Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults:  Those wishing to be fully initiated into the Catholic Faith are brought into the Church through this program.  If you have not received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation and are interested in completing these Sacraments, please call the Parish Office at 724-863-2626.
  • Discovering Christ:  now in session for Winter-Spring 2017, our 7th series of Discovering Christ in 6 years!
  • Generations of Faith: for families, children, and adults.
  • Scripture Study:  Scripture Study is held weekly on Mondays, September through May, focusing on the readings of the upcoming Sunday.  No registration necessary.  All are welcome for any meeting.  Come as often as you wish.  For information and meeting location, call the Parish Office at 724-863-2626.
  • Unraveling the Mysteries of Holy Mass is a series of 7 short articles which examine the Mass. It was run first as a bulletin study program in the fall of 2016 and remains online.
  • The Wild Goose – new for Fall 2016 is a special program about the Holy Spirit. It is also available online from Fr. Dave Pivonka, Third Order Regular Franciscans at thewildgooseisloose.com
  • Women of Grace – our second and third offering for this special program for women begins September 13 (Tuesday evenings) or September 15 (Thursday mornings), 2016.
