  • Pre-K (4 year olds) & Kindergarten:  Starting our children off early is an important part of incorporating our faith into our children’s lives.  The Pre-K/Kindergarten faith formation is held on Sunday mornings during the 9:00 a.m. Mass in a Faith Formation classroom.
  • 1st & 2nd Grade Sacrament Preparation:  The students in the Sacrament Preparation program are our first and second grade children who are preparing to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation in the Advent Season and First Eucharist in the spring of their second grade year.  Attendance in one of these programs in both 1st and 2nd grade is required to receive the sacraments in 2nd grade. There are three options for these children:
Option #1 Sunday morning classes  meet between the two morning Masses – 10:05-10:55 a.m. and occasional Saturday retreats.
Option #2 Generations of Faith which is for the family (parent and student) meets one (1) Friday night a month from September through April.  Each Generations of Faith session begins with a Pot Luck meal at 6:15 p.m. and ends at 8:45 p.m.  Each session includes student lessons, adult faith sharing, prayer and family homework activity.
Option #3  Home Schooling.  Parent and student receive a home school curriculum to follow and meet with the Faith Formation Director four (4) times over the course of the school year to review the student’s progress.
  • 3rd & 4th Grade:   Faith formation for third and fourth grade  involves learning spiritual exercises, service experiences and an opportunity to fully understand what  the Sacrament of Confirmation is and how it is part of their  journey as they continue to grow their life-long relationship with Jesus.  These students have the following four options:
Option #1 – Sunday morning classes meet between the two morning Masses – 10:05 -10:55 a.m.
Option #2 – Generations of Faith which is for the family (parent and student) meets one (1) Friday night a month from September through April.  Each Generations of Faith session begins with a Pot Luck meal at 6:15 p.m. and ends at 8:45 p.m.  Each session includes student lessons, adult faith sharing, prayer and family homework activity.
Option #3 – Home Schooling.  Parent and student receive a home school curriculum to follow and meet with the Faith Formation director four (4) times over the course of the school year to review the student’s progress.
Option #4 will depend on teachers/aides stepping forward:  Neighborhood Teams will meet regularly in small Christian study groups of 8-12 students in their teacher’s homes to continue their faith formation within the warm, friendly environment of their friends and neighbors, further reinforcing that religion is not just for Sundays, but something we practice every day and everywhere.
  • 5th – 8th Grade:  NOTE:  The Sacrament of Confirmation will be in 7th or 8th grade as we move forward in the Diocese of Greensburg so young people must be enrolled in Faith Formation for grades three through eight attending on a regular basis in order to make their Confirmation.
Option #1  Junior Youth Ministry – JYM (5th-8th Grade):  JYM is for the continuing faith formation of  youth in grades five through eight.  These students meet for religious education, retreats, community service projects and special outings.  They have the opportunity to continue to learn what the Sacrament of Confirmation is and how it is part of their  journey as they grow in their  life-long relationship with Jesus.  Our JYM combines the youth from St. Agnes, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and Immaculate Conception parishes.  We meet on Sunday evenings at Queen of Angels School from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m..  The schedule is available through the link above.
Option #2 – Generations of Faith (5th & 6th grade only) which is for the family (parent and student) meets one (1) Friday night a month from September through April.  Each Generations of Faith session begins with a Pot Luck meal at 6:15 p.m. and ends at 8:45 p.m.  Each session includes student lessons, adult faith sharing, prayer and family homework activity.
Option #3 – Home Schooling (5th – 8th grade)  Parent and student receive a home school curriculum to follow and meet with the Faith Formation Director four (4) times over the course of the school year to review the student’s progress.
