The National March for Life
For over 40 years, give or take a few snow emergency years, Saint Agnes and other area parishes have sent groups to Washington, DC for the March For Life. Last year, COVID-19 interruped our mission as it has for so many things and forced the march to go virtual, but this year…
…we’re BACK
…and the march just happens to occur on the feast day of our patron, Saint Agnes!
As we have done so many times before, our day will begin in the “wee hours” of a cold, possibly frigid Friday on January 21, 2022 with a 6 hour bus trip 235 miles to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception where we will attend Mass in one of the many chapels. We will then march by walking three miles or so to the National Mall for a rally and then past the U.S. Capitol to the Supreme Court Building for another rally. The day will be long. The cold could be stinging, snowy, or sloppy wet–or all three but our participants will be speaking out for those who do not have a voice–the millions of aborted babies and others whose lives are considered marginal. We will march on January 21st and continue to march for the sanctity of all life from conception to natural death.
There are several ways that YOU can participate on January 21, 2022.

Particapte in the day of Eucharistic Adoration at Saint Agnes Church
Our parish Our Lady of Guadalupe Pro-Life Group is sponsoring a day of Eucharistic Adoration which will begin after morning Mass and continue until early evening. The schedule for the day at St. Agnes will be morning Mass as usual at 7:30 am followed by Adoration throughout the day on an hourly basis from 8 am until 6 pm with different intentions at every hour, and then by ending with an evening Mass at 6 pm. All parish organizations/ministries have been asked to sign up for a scheduled hour of Adoration. All adorers are always welcome for Adoration regardless of the schedule.
Support the Effort with Prayer
Please pray. The power of prayer is undeniable and as is often said, can move mountains. Please pray for the sanctity of human life from conception until natural death.
God bless you!
