Pastoral Care
The Pastoral Care Ministry of St. Agnes Parish focuses on parishioners who have become homebound due to illness, accident or age and are unable to worship and pray with our parish community. Our ministry brings the church community to our homebound through supportive and practical ways such as visits to home, hospital and nursing home, bringing Holy Communion, as well as supplying news of events and parish literature.
Canon Law speaks of Pastoral Care as a necessary service for parish life.
Our area of service includes:
All Catholics that reside within the jurisdiction of St. Agnes Parish
Nursing Home Facilities:
- The Grove at Irwin
- Redstone Highlands Senior Living Community
Hospitals:
- Excela
- Excela Health Westmoreland
- Forbes Regional Hospital
- UPMC – East Monroeville
- UPMC – McKeesport
Visits to hospitals and nursing homes not listed above are made upon request.

Because of the Right to Privacy laws, all information concerning parishioners who are hospitalized, homebound or living in a health care facility is kept in strictest confidence. The Right to Privacy laws, at times, prohibit notification by hospitals of a parishioners admission, therefore, we must hear from the parishioner, family member or a friend if they would like to be visited. Please call 724-863-2626 to speak with a member of our Pastoral Care Team and set up a visit.
